Birth Happens: Doula Readiness for Unattended Deliveries is a virtual workshop designed to prepare doulas for the rare but possible experience of supporting a birth that unfolds before medical professionals arrive. This training starts where it has to—with one clear first step: call someone. From there, you'll build enough familiarity with what you might see to stay calm, stay present, and describe what's happening accurately to whoever is on the line. We'll cover immediate postpartum assessment, cord prolapse, meconium, maternal bleeding, and signs of shock—all through the lens of what a doula can do, what to communicate, and how to protect yourself and your client when it matters most.

This event is open to all - we hope to see you there!
