What is MEAC?

The Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC) in a non-profit organization approved by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. MEAC approves Continuing Education Programs attended by professional midwives to maintain and upgrade their skills and education. Approved programs (like ours here at BADT!) allow midwives to receive continuing education hours (CEUs) for the courses completed. Learn more about MEAC by visiting their website

Abortion Doula Training - 6.5 Contact Hours (0.65 CEUs)

This continuing education course is suitable for anyone interested in supporting those in their communities who are seeking or accessing abortion. The course will cover context and skills for providing abortion support, as well as information on how to begin or deepen your work as an abortion advocate and/or doula.

Queer & Trans Reproductive Support - 8 Contact Hours (0.8 CEUs)

All lessons are taught by educators with lived experience as QT people, as well as professional experience serving QT families. 

This course is suitable for new doulas and care workers, as well as experienced professionals. You do not need to be a doula or have any specific background experience to enroll in this course. This continuing education course is suitable for anyone interested in learning more about the reproductive health of Queer & Trans people through the childbearing years, and how to support clients during these experiences.
