This continuing education course covers racism and privilege and their effects in birth work. Topics that we will touch on include: Birth, Racism, Privilege & its Effects, White Silence, The History of Racism in Birth, and Action Steps.

This CE course is brought to you through a special collaboration with MaryNissi Lemon, Childbirth Educator, Doula, and BADT Core Teacher. In this course, students will gain a complete understanding of the placenta encapsulation process — from preparation and safety to client care.

All lessons are taught by educators with lived experience as QT people, as well as professional experience serving QT families.
This course is suitable for new doulas and care workers, and experienced professionals. There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course. You do not need to be a doula or have any specific background experience. This course does not result in certification.

This continuing education course is suitable for anyone interested in supporting those in their communities who are seeking or accessing abortion. The course will cover context and skills for providing abortion support, as well as information on how to begin or deepen your work as an abortion advocate and/or doula.
